Seriously, you need to take your yorkie out every 20 minutes or so until it learns to go outside. Praise it when it does. As far as the mats go, keep moving them closer and closer to the door. Try to get the smell out from where she is peeing now. It's best to train the dog that it must go outside to pee. The only way to do that is to keep taking it out as often as possible and with continuous praise, your yorkie will learn that in no time. Good luck!

Small breed canine would be problematic to housebreak for some reason. We at the instant have a Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) and he or she abode broke relatively nicely and particularly quickly. She is a exceedingly intelligent canine and gets alongside with our different canine large. They play and function an incredible time jointly. they do no longer seem to be seen a small breed of canine, yet smaller. She weighs approximately 15 pounds, she is small for a Sheltie, that could arise to 35 pounds. i might propose them to all people.

If you use a cleaner with ammonia in it to clean up the mess, she is trying to mark her territory, because she thinks there is another dominant animal in the area, because of the ammonia. I would re-train her to go outside and go potty. Tell her to go potty and when she does throw her a party, get excited, GOOD GIRL, GOOD POTTY, give her a treat. Good luck.

Sounds like your dog has made up her mind.
Dogs pee to mark teritory.
This behavior most likely has to do with other animals intruding in her teritory.

Take the poor guy out for a walk a couple of times a day, for heaven's sake! And don't forget to scoop the poop, please.
