The difference is simply in how you accept a negative response. If you are told no, you are begging when you proceed to badger the person. If you simply accept the negative reply and move on then you asked as opposed to begged.

It's subjective depending on the views of the person who the request is directed to. If the person does not like the request, he considers it begging and does not grant the request. If he is OK with the request he considers it asking, and he grants the request.

okay asking my friend is when you go up to the person in a respectable and mature mannor and politely make a gesture of what you want. begging is pushing it too far and will result in MOJOR not-getting-ness! lol
