get some help, from ur local citizens advice bureau if possible. Or at least take a friend along.

Just tell the truth at the tribunal, and tell them how u are at ur worst, don't be optomistic cos this is often why appeals are turned down, cos the tribunal do not get a sense of how bad things can get.

Don't be afraid, people go to appeals everyday, u can't help having ur illness and u deserve to get DLA, that is what it is there for, to help people like u.

Good luck!

In theory DLA is supposed to pay for additional treatment, and costs involved with getting to appointments. Do you receive higher rate income support? You should if you've been getting DLA Middle rate or above. You should also qualify for full housing benefit, and council tax relief.
Don't let the people at the tribunal know that DLA is supplementing rent, or any other stuff. Tell them that ALL your DLA is spent on taxi's and buses to attend self help groups or hospital appointments.
I don't want to be negative, but guy I know who can hardly walk, has Angina, Gout, and depression was unlucky in his appeal, because he managed to walk 15 or so feet, the stupid doctors figured he was ok!!?!?!?
Good luck, and best wishes for a happy future!!

Going to a tribunal is a horrible thin to have to do. Learn what is on your form hte night before and do not deviatie from it. Tell them what your worst day is like. Do not try to be positive. If you do not win put another form in straight away but do it with the help of the CAB. Good luck.

Contact your local Welfare Benefits Office, they have people who specifically deal with dla/benefits. The will assign a worker to you, who will help you with your appeal and attend the tribunal with you.
Good Luck.

I beleive that you would be able to take someone with you to a tribunal, speak to a group like mind, they may be able to provide someone or put you in touch with what / where your best options for support are.

this is money your entitled to, they will try and not pay you, don't let them scare you off, have more confidence that its your fcuking right to that money, ask your doctor if he can write you a letter about your condition, take all you can with you they are just normal people doing their job (a shite one at that) don't let them get to you go in winning!
