Why is there a light in the fridge but not one in the freezer?

the light would freeze, and break.....

Good question. I have ice cream in the middle of the night. I would like to see what is in the freezer. It is probably because the cold in the freezer would shatter a light bulb.

Because everyone knows when getting ice cream out of the freezer, the fridge is open too for the toppings.

I don't really know why, but I suppose it could be for this simple reason-- ever try to wash out your refrig only to find the light is an aquid spot- now image that same problem in your freezer as you try to defrost it or maybe it is because the refrig is larger in size and you have more to search through before finding what you're looking for.

bcuz the freezer is supposed to b colder so having a light bulb in it wuld make a harder time freezing things

Because no one is smart enough to think of it yet lol Really I'm not sure. Maybe it's too frozen or they think the light will heat it up some.

I have no clue why but, I have also wondered the same thing. I really wish there was a light up there too.
