In your question, you never stated , what military branch you need to know about. My husband and I had a military wedding, Marine Corps wedding. And it was beautiful and perfect.

We did our wedding colors, in Navy blue, silver and bright pink, to off set the blue.

And the sword detail, our friends took care of.

Email me if you have any other questions..

Good Luck

Make an appointment with the Chaplin or base chapel. They should be able to help you with details or point you in the right direction since they perform weddings all time as part of their job.

Go to a bookstore or a library and check some books on wedding etiquette. You may be able to find some information there as well.

I'm in the wedding industry, and live in a Navy town, but I've had very little experience with full military weddings. Most weddings involving military personnel are similar to regular weddings except the groom and maybe some of the groomsmen are in uniforms rather than tuxes.

Well, unless you are going for a full traditional military wedding, I would say the groomsmen and groom are in formal wear and you walk under swords after the wedding. Which there are rules on who can walk under a honor.

i imagine you want to get your information instantly. i'm marrying a Air rigidity guy. And in case you imagine that acquiring married after 9 years jointly is dashing it. Than woman, you're loopy. we are getting married because we like one yet another and that what human beings in a dedicated loving courting do. AND no he did not only connect the protection rigidity and we jumped at he probability of gaining "loose tax payer reward", he has been an performing provider member for over 6 years already!!! do not go round categorising human beings and judging only depending on the moves of a few human beings right here and there and specially on your own slender mindedness.

I don't know anything other than stuff like the sword arch during the recessional, but there's TONS of traditions they do, and there's protocol to be followed as well (seating officers, etc.). Here's a page I found that may help you. Congrats and best of luck to you!
