It sounds like the dog may have an infection in his tooth. It does have to come out. In the meantime, you can give him a babys aspirin to ease the pain--NO TYLENOL. Just a regular baby aspirin and follow the same dosage as a child would take. That will ease the pain a little bit bit it will not kill the infection. It may go away on its own but I doubt it. There may be a vet in your area that will donate his time and an antibiotic if you call around and ask. Some vets will do that cause they just love animals. Good luck.

ok...you should have realized when you got this dog that there may be problems when it got older. There are veteranarians who will take payments. Your dog needs a vet. It's not fair to let the poor thing suffer. And it's ridiculous to try a home remedy. You may not know what you're doing and you could only make matters worse. Call today!!! Explain your financial situation and ask about payments.

Look in the phone book almost every city has one, its called a Veterianarian League. I have one in my city. What they do is take care of your animal at a minimal cost and will even let you make payments.... Another option is call the local Humane Society and ask about vets that do free work or if their in house vet will do the work. To pull a tooth the dog has to be put to sleep and I pay like 160 just for that alone. its expensive to own a pet and good luck !

Tell your daughter not to touch/shake the tooth that's in pain. A warm saline solution (water with salt). Use it as a gargle. If pain still can't be relieved, use hot compress (hot water) or cold compress (ice). If the pain ends, go to a dentist and have the tooth extracted. Always remind your daughter to brush her teeth from now on. Her experience today is a good way of encouraging her (just a slight threat). Prevention is better than cure.

You obviously have money for a computer. Get off the damn computer and sell it. Also, sell all of your fancy clothes that you have money for and get the dog some medical attention. Your dog can die if it has an infected tooth. But hey, what does that matter. You don't want to inconvenience yourself by having to pay some money to help it. How can you look at yourself in the mirror everyday knowing that you are causing your dog to suffer?

Sort out a payment method with a vet ... quickly. If you can't afford the care your pet deserves and needs, you shouldn't own a pet at all. If your pet is in pain and you cannot manage to sort out a payment plan with a vet, perhaps you need to take your dog to a shelter and admit to them that you simply do not have the means to care for it properly.

You mean in 10 years you haven't managed to save up a emergency vet fund for him?
You could take him to the Humane Society and relequish the dog in order to get him treated. You would miss him, but at least he'd get proper treatment. And hopefully be adopted by someone who would have money to get him to the vet.

Call your local vet or animal hospital and tell them what is going on with your dog and explain that you are short on money right now. They might set up a payment plan for you to pay them back. My vet did this for me right after we moved here and my dog got really sick and I was broke. He took care of him and then let me pay him in payments until I had it payed off.

Call the SPCA and ask for help....you may need to surrender him to get him help.....this is considered animal cruelty in some states. Some vets will do payment plans, but you will have to so a lot of calling....SPCA or like orgs will trade out services....you volunteer and they do the procedure.
Good Luck
