A lady I work with has had a very bad week. One bad thing after another has happened to her this week. It's kinda funny but she takes things really hard and beats herself up for it. Another lady I work with is taking full advantage of this and has made up a fake employee handbook for all to see. It's warning all of us the hazards of working near her. She is trying to be funny but I know the other women will not think so. The woman is depressed and is on meds for stress. How tacky is this woman being?!

My co-worker has seen the offensive piece of junk the other woman has wrote. She laughed but I know she still feels really bad. I emailed her and told her to laugh at her strange sense of humor. She thanked me for my kind words. Funny how this other woman wanted to email it to someone outside fo work as well. Her stupidity will never cease!

Tacky is not even the word. I am always the first one to have a sense of humor, but what you describe borders on cruelty, since this woman is already depressed. Why kick her when she's down? Does this fake handbook woman need more work to keep her busy?
I would not join in her shenanigans.

tacky isn't the word. This woman circulating the handbook apparently has no life of her own, and if HER supervisor found out, she would probably end up in the same situation...lets face it, having no job doesn't exactly put a smile on one's face! this woman is being totally ignorant and inconsiderate. what people need to start doing is excercising a little care because i'm sure, i will call her "Miss Ig'nant @SS" , she would not like it at all if SHE was the one being dissed around the whole office. This other woman is going thru something apparently and does not need the assistance of Miss Ig'nant @SS or the whole office to make things any worse than they already are for this woman. She needs to lay off before this woman sees this book and waits for her outside after work one day, then what will she do...what can she do...but lay back and take that @SS whoopin because she was in the wrong all along. Miss Ig'nant @SS needs to stop what she is doing immediately before she gets in some serious trouble!

If everyone at the company knows that this woman is suffering from stress and is on medication, she should be left alone to deal with it in her own way. It is only going to drive her deeper into depression if she feels as if she is not getting any support from any one else. It is a very hurtful thing to a depressed person when others are making fun of you while you are stressing out. Deeply depressed people easily become suicidal when they feel like no one understands what they are going through.
You might be able to help her by showing her the website below. Email her the link and let her make her own decision. This program did wonders for me.

I can understand being aggravated with someone like this. There does tend to be some woman that for one reason or another think that the every little thing that happens to them is so traumatic. The woman that is trying to be funny is just going to cause more drama. especially if this is something that she could find out. This woman will probably report the teasing to one of the big boss's and then everyone will have to be talked to and this will add to the drama. You should probably not go along with this joke, The woman making the joke is probably one of those snobs that think they are better than everyone else. snobby wench,

If the woman is on meds for stress she may also be for depression. you should
A: take the handbook and keep it.
B:Tell the one that made it about the pills incase she doesn't know
C: If she continues, take it to the boss... book and all.
You'd think this kind of cruelty would have been over in Middle school. I'd feel awful if she had a breakdown and I coulda done something to stop it

Very tacky and could result in a harassment case against her. Perception is reality. If the unlucky lady perceives that she is being harassed by this fake handbook and can prove it in a court of law the woman making the handbook may be held personally liable. Tell her to watch her step.

What on earth?!? You know, I think there are some people in the world that, for whatever reason, actually ENJOY making people miserable. I don't know what I believe about God and the afterlife, but if there is a H#ll, maybe there is a special room for this woman there. Tacky is an understatement. Evil is more like it.

She's being cruel to the feelings of your other co-worker. This woman is obviously going through a very difficult time in her life right now, instead of giving her support is sounds like some of your coworkers are thoughtless. Why don't they just rub salt into her open wounds too!!!

This is deffinitely something not nice.
Now the question is: what should be done about it.
The supervisors may or may not know of this situation. They may be just hoping it will go away if they ignore it.
The situation will not go away. The supervisors need to deal with it for both people.
If one level will not deal with it, then the next level up should be notified. Last of all, there are laws against this type of action.
