i like one of my guy friends and i want to tell him how i feel. we've hung out quite and bit and usually when i e-mail him to suggest meeting for lunch or dinner, he waits until the next day to respond (ie the day of the lunch/dinner) however, i e-mailed him yesterday to ask if he wanted to hang out this weekend and he still hasn't responded. is this normal, is he trying to play it cool or is he hinting that he doesn't like me?

It is possible that he knows how you feel and doesn't return your feelings. As a friend, he is probley trying to avoid you in order not to hurt your feelings.

you are trying to hard and scarring him away, stop e-mailing him, if he is interested he will contact you, if not he was not and get over it. People say it is not an old fashion world, but it is in the dating game. Men are suppose to be the one that does the chasing, they feel uncomfortable about being chase. play hard to get. do it back to him if you do get an e-mail don't answer it right a away, make him wait.

Maybe you should stop making him the focal point in your life. Maybe he just doesn't want to have to answer to anyone & feels like it is better to just NOT answer your email, especially if he has made plans to do something & doesn't want to have to explain himself...to you or anyone else. It doesn't mean he doesn't like you. It just means he is busy & didn't answer. Don't let this ruin your weekend. Find something else to do & stop stressing over this, or you could end up losing your "friend".

After all attempts, if he's interested in you, he will pursue you. Give it a break and let the man chase you, the way it's supposed to be. It's okay to let it be known that you are interested, but by constantly asking him out you are seeming desperate. Chill, and let him come to you.

He might just check his email in the morning each day so when he receives your email it is to late. But then he could be implying that he is avoiding the request

maybe he doesnt check him mail religiously five times a day, or he might be immature enough to try to "play it cool", you must know enough about the guy to know if any of these reasons are true.

either he just doesnt check his email much (try calling him) or he's probably just wanting to stay friends.

He may be shy but if he's already your friend it's a little doubtful.

he might be playing it cool, the only way to know for sure is to ask him.
