Assuming that was a serious question...
Alcohol impairs your judgment, reflexes and, in some cases, your vision.. all of which you need, to drive. It also gives you a sense of euphoria, of well-being, so you don't realise how badly impaired you are (How many times have you heard somebody say "I"m not drunk, I'm in perfect control", from somebody who can hardly stand...?)
So, if you drink and then drive, your chances of being in an accident are much greater. It's not just yourself that you place at risk, others are likely to be hurt or killed too..
That's why...
Oh, and, in most places, it's illegal - but, too be honest, that's a secondary consideration, next to the risks of harming somebody.

Hey who_carez69,
First of all, I care. Secondly it's probably because you'll die and it'll be for a stupid reason. Third, it's a living proof of stupidity. I heard this commercial on the radio (The Beat 94.5) and I think it is a perfect example:
The following story may or may not be true:
"I'm drunk, I'm driving like a black, just got my licence back."
*sirens*
- Good Evening Sir, may I see some ID please?
"Look at this photograph, everytime I knew it makes me laugh."
- Well I'm glad that you think this is funny. Do you know why I stopped you?
"The signs that we missed."
- Uh, yeah you missed a stop sign back there any reason why?
"It's hard to think when you're breathing in my ear.'
- What? Have you been, drinking?
"To the bottom of every bottle."
- I'm gonna have to ask you to step out of the car, Sir.
*door opens*
"On these hands and knees I'm crawling on..."
- Please, get up, Sir. Okay, you're under arrest.
"Never knew we'd wind up like this."
- Yeah, yeah whatever, watch your head you drunk..."
"Oh God."
*vomits*
- Oh, that's it you're going to the drunk tank.
*sirens again*
"Good-bye. Good-bye."
Get the picture? Yeah buddy...that can be you....
Oh and again as a 16-year-old, I care :) - Hidden

When you drink and then drive your judgement and reaction times are slowed, along with your ability to see, usually when you drink after a few you start getting blurred vision, and the more you go at the more you will have blurred vision and trouble driving a straight line, let alone walking a straight line. You put everyone else on the road at risk along with yourself.

When you've been drinking alcohol your senses are not as good as they are when sober. You see double, you can't walk in a straight line...and if you drive, chances are you will cause an accident. But, you can drink tea and other beverages and drive - no problem with that.

Drinking severely impairs your judgement and response time. Drunk drivers kill thousands upon thousands of people every year.
My aunt was killed by a drunk driver when she was 17. I know her now only in pictures, as I was 3 at the time. I wish that she could have lived to see me now, as I've been told by my father and his siblings how sweet and kind she was.
A guy I went to school with was driving drunk and killed two passengers in his car and two in the other car. He lived without a scratch.
My brother rammed into a car drunk and smashed up his car. If his wife had been with him (as she was planning), she would have died, as that side of the car was totaled.
Do you need more reasons?

Because you'd probably survive an accident and when you sober up find out you killed some innocent people's 5 year old child and then feel guilt and remorse and eventually commit suicide, but at the same time plead not guilty because you don't remember doing it and the victims family will haunt you for the rest of your life.
That's just one possibility.

You lack judgement and will likely have wreck and hurt a innocent person. I have no respect for drunk drivers. If they run into a person, they need spend at least 50 years in prison.
