Talk to a teacher or parent of a classmate to see if anyone can help with residency until he can finish high school.

Sell whatever is no longer being used or needed to get extra cash for living expenses.

Get a part-time job and start saving as much money as possible.

Open a savings account and do NOT get an ATM card. Save, don't spend. Keep a small portion out for personal care items, but save as much as possible.

Find looking at colleges now and research their housing options.

Start focusing on college scholarships and grants to help pay for upcoming expenses (the early bird gets the worm) http://www.fastweb.com

In the meantime, try to negotiate with your parents to allow you to stay until you graduate high school. It is unreasonable to expect you to be gone the second you turn 18, but if there is no other way, it is possible to survive. Many people faced the same situation (myself included). Stay away from drugs, alcohol and don't rush to get married just to get settled. It will be hard, but it's possible. Above all, don't give up on yourself.

Why is this guy getting kicked out at 18? Is he disrespectful or lazy or just has "mean" parents? If this is a done deal, he needs to make plans to get great grades so he can get a scholarship when he graduates from high school. If he has been a great kid, he will graduate from high school before turning 18, and will be able to get a job and save in this year to put a down payment on a rental place, or else get student assistance for college and live in a dorm.
Need more information. However, and 18 year old is an adult and should not expect to live at home without at least paying rent and participating in family chores and being respectful to his parents and siblings and the family rules.

Move in with a roommate and get a part time job so he can get his HS diploma.

Then have him apply for school loans from the government.

If he has no transportation, take a year off and save to buy a car. Stop spending money on everything, and save save save.

wow that is a bummer, but anyway try talkin to parents or whoever is putting you/friend out see if you can now rent out your room make some kind of arrangement with them show that you can be responsible start with getting a job and saving your money! in the meantime i think it is totally sad for people to tell their kid that they have to get out at the age of 18, you should ask them how established were they at 18 !
