Yes I was in Amsterdam at the end of 2005. It is a wonderful city with lots to do. Since I was on five hour layover at Schipol, I had enough time to do a few main things. My favorite was a boat ride on the canals and we went to the Anne Frank Museum. Also we had a nice lunch at the Pancake House.

Oh yes - it's a lovely, beautiful city with friendly people. There is SO much to do there - world-class museums, the Ann Frank house, farms, markets, canal rides, bike tours......I never get enough of Amsterdam!

Hi there, I spent one day there as I was there due to a cruise. We went to Anne Frank's secret Annex...very powerful being in the place where they were captured...it is still pretty much like how it was when they were captured, her pictures still hang on the wall today, and you can see where Otto Frank marked Margot and Anne's different heights...very awe inspiring. We also took a canal cruise which was really neat, got to see a variety of different houses, and it was just fun being on a small boat like that and watching the people walking by the banks of the canals. Have fun in whatever you decide to do! =)

I love Amsterdam. I has a nice mix of culture (Van Gogh Museum, etc) and decadence (great coffeshops, fun walk through the Red Light District). If you are going, have fun.
