I think it was made by Burt Rutan; It had the engine intake on one side, then on the other side, a big gatling (like the A-10). I think it was called 'mudskipper,' or something. It was displayed in the early '90s, to the best of my recollection. Trying to settle a bet here at work, so any help would be appreciated!

It's called the Mudfighter. The odd arrangement of engine and gun helped prevent gun exhaust gases (from firing) from going into the engine intake and snuffing it.

Neat little plane, but the DoD never bought it.
