the pinky finger side of my left hand has gone completely numb while withdrawing from alcohol. it's been two full days and it is still numb.

Yes it can among other things!You are low on thiamine.Alcohol zaps it outta your system.Eat some bananas and take a supplement you should get feeling back when you get your vitamins back up.By the way a pinky going numb is not a sign of a stroke.

Yes alcohol can lead to a stroke, my Dad life was cuted
short due to alcohol.

You might have thiamine deficiency...if you are 'Withdrawing" from alcohol, you should never drink again.
