Jim, Jim, Jim. What are we going to do with you!

The rule is:
When you find something scriptural that sounds outrageous, you immediately go into "interpretation mode." E.g.,

"He said it because it fulfilled a prophesy in Psalm so-and-so, but it isn't meant to be taken literally."

"You are reading it out of context. Read the whole bible twice, starting from the middle out, and THEN it will make sense."

"What bible are you reading? if you read the authorized Duke of Earl version you'd see He really said, "T-square," not "sword.""

"He was actually talking to Jews about the Old Covenant. And that doesn't apply to anyone born after World War I."

Are you fimiliar with the Bible? Think about the time when the Romans came to get Jesus in the garden to crucify him. Peter pulled out his sword and cut the ear of one of the guys. Jesus said no and put the guy's ear back on. I think that's how the story went. Anyway, by the sword he means the Bible.

genuine. The word "holy warfare" also does no longer seem interior the Quran because it isn't any longer permissible for Muslims to wrestle like the Christians did in the course of the Crusades. The word for that is "jung al-muqudasa" and also you'll no longer discover it in any hadith both. So it makes a mockery of the arguments that orientalists and Islamophobes recommend about warfare like people and barbarism. The Romans, chinese language, atheist and Pagan tribes were all in a state of perpetual warfare again then. The Quran gave permission to wrestle only those who fought Muslims - compared to others.

You may laugh and think things are out of context, but listen well. Jesus came as a humble servant the first time and he is offering salvation free to all who will, but there is another side of him that you haven't seen yet. It is like your dad when he finally got mad and had enough. He loved you, but when he got mad you had better watch out.. And remember I am not threatening you with anything, these things are coming and it looks like they are coming fast. When Jesus comes again he will be as judge and will pass judgment in a terrible way..
The Sword of the Lord when it comes will be anything but funny and I do not laugh when I say this, I CRY for those that will suffer, but they will not suffer in ignorance.
You already know too much to talk like you do..

Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

He was speaking of the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, which would divide the soul (our human part) from the (Holy) Spirit. This does not bring peace until it is dealt with.

A sword fight between Jesus and Mohamed would be excellent.

I wonder if we can get them to use light sabers? You'd think they'd have the technology.

Jesus was talking about standing up for him in this case: the sword was the word.

"But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn
" 'a man against his father,
a daughter against her mother,
a daughter-in-law against her motherinlaw—
a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.
"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me."
