To be honest - just be yourself. You've spoken on the phone so he has some idea about your personality. I'm assuming you've seen photos, so he must not be repulsive physically or you wouldn't be meeting him. Choose someplace fairly public for the first meeting - Applebees or TGIFridays for drinks or supper. Take along your cell phone ( can NEVER be too careful ). Keep the conversation light - this is more of the getting to know you phase. Dress nicely - but don't over do. Keep it casual & relax.
Have a great time & hopefully this will become something really special!

Go for it girl! But yes, be careful!
I realized now that it really doesn't matter how much you've exchanged mails, or if you have talked on phones alot.
The click really starts after you've actually met the person.
And you would know if he has been telling you lies, or truth, on the first date.
Be careful not to talk much about your self, and observe well about the oposite! Let HIM do all of the talking. Ask him questions, not desperately, but when you are in silence, like as if to start a conversation.
...and be careful and END the DATE less than 3 hours!!!
First dates are really important, don't get too many info, but much so you would know if he's a lier or an honest guy!
Good luck!

Don't do it. You have no idea if this guy is a sexual predator! I'm serious!! If you are going to do it anyway, take someone with you and be in a well travelled public area all the time. Don't get in his car or anything. People online can always lie about who they really are and you would have no clue.

Dress up a little conservative.(Hide and seek is the best game ever). Smile generously. Appreciate his sense of humor. If he sucks tell this at the end of the date so that he vanishes for ever.
P.S: Take a couple of condoms with you, in case, you never know what trick the god of love play on us. Have Fun!

Well, I would first go on the side of safety and have someone you know meet the guy with you and then leave, but also let other people know where you will be in case something goes wrong, you never know. Other than that just be yourself and it should be fine.

Well hopefully you have seen a picture of him!!! But beside that you should give all his information to a friend of yours just incase. Go some where where there are alot of people. But as for the first impression just be yourself.

I would have another couple go with you. they don't have to sit with you and the guy you're meeting doesn't have to know they are there with you. Have them sit close to you so you can signal if you need help. Don't have him come to your house and don't go to his house. You don't know what this guy is capable of. So you don't want him to know where you live, he could be a rapist or a murder you just don't know these days. Good Luck and have fun.

Just be yourself and act natural so you don't have to try to remember how to act or whatever. Try to get his prints on a glass or something so you can run him through NCIC, too.
