I have had an ongoing debate on the "eating hand" and who uses which one. What hand do you eat with and why?

I was conducting an experiment. My boyfriend and I always are arguing (playful banter) about which hand you're supposed to eat with. We are both right handed, but I eat with my right hand and he eats with his left, cuts with his right. He thinks since his whole family does that it makes me weird. I wantes to point out to him not everyone is the same as him. I've gotten a good answer which was both hands. Because I think it does matter which hand you write with and also which hand your parents eat with because you will copy them as a child and just get used to it. But anyways, that's the story behind the retarded question. LOL, thanks guys :)

I always wonder what hand I eat with because during a meal I never think to check what hand I'm using so I don't even know! I'm trying to figure it out but I think I use a fork in my right hand and a knife in my other. It also depends on what I'm eating. Speaking of eating, I'm really hungry!

Muslims only eat with their right hands, as their left hands are for wiping their bums.

I am right-handed, so I eat with my right hand. When I have to cut into a steak, I transfer the fork to my left and and use the knife with my right.

Depends on if you are right or left handed, I am right handed , left handed people eat with left hand .

I hold a utensil in my right hand, but if it's food I pick up I use both, favoring the right side though. I'm right-handed if that helps any.
