Yes.
I sure wouldn't attack my neighbors or blow up markets and churches.

I think any patriotic British person would defend his/her country look at the 2 world wars. No I dont think to be out of uniform would make you a terrorist after all not everyone would be eligible to wear the queens uniform. If we were invaded we have to make make sure that we knew who the enemy were as I presume you are talking about invasion from somewhere like Iraq? Then I'm sure that would be like sleeping with the enemy in this country and a lot of innocent people would get tarred with the same brush.

If my country was invaded and I defended it with the support and direction of my government, in or out of uniform, I would not be a terrorist if there had been a declaration of war, or a police action. If I acted outside the government's orders, eg, by shelling another country, I would be a terrorist. If my country was occupied and I had been ordered by my government not to attack the invaders, and I did, I would be a terrorist. They say one man's terrorist is another's freedom fighter, but people who resist or fight for freedom by targeting civilians are terrorists, plan and simple. If they target threats and accidentally hit civilians, that is unfortunate, but the cost of war. And to the person who made the comment about the country being overrun by people who aren't British, stop reading the tabloid press and get a life.

No. Becuse if I took up arms to defend my country against Invaders, I'd be a resistence fighter and NOT a terrorist. Only the other side would call me a terrorist, but since they're the invaders, their opinions wouldn't count unless they were also the ones who got to write history.

the answer is yes! And not being in uniform is not making you a terrorist. You would be considered an irregular or non conventional force. A gurellia or freedom fighter.
You would be a terrorist if you selected soft targets, that had little or no effect on the invading force and mainly hurt the civilian populace. Lacking the courage to directly confront and engage an armed opponet and instead killing and maiming your fellow citizens. Makes you a terrorist.

Regardless of what my Nation did to start anything, I'd defend it, my home, with my life. I'd fight the invaders until my final breath. If I wasn't in uniform, I wouldn't be a terrorist, I'd be in a resistance movement. Terrorists kill indiscriminately, soldiers and civilians alike. Resistors attack military or government targets only. I would protect my family, friends or anyone else, especially as I'm in the military.

It is your duty to protect the country that has protected and harboured you all your life.
If you are not in uniform you are not a terrorist, to be a terrorist you have to wage a campaign against innocent people with the aim of scaring someone into doing what you say.

I do not think I would be called a terrorist if i was defending my country and I was not an active military member. Terrorist kill innocent people in mid-evil ways. car bombs, be heading, I think most Americans would fall in line with the military and fight for our country for free if we had too. I know I would.

I would have a sworn duty to do so. And I would not be a terrorist because even if not in uniform I would still comply with the Laws and Customs of War.

During WWII the Special Operations Executive trained a cadre that would have continued a guerilla war in the event of an invasion. It boils down to a value judgement.
Sadly though, I often wonder just how bad things have to be before people enentually give up the 'musn't grumble' ethos.
