How long is his show, 30 minutes? The actual taping is more like 60 minutes... so most of it is cut out. What you're seeing is the 'good' guesses he made (as in, there actually being someone in the audience with a dead relative named 'Aaron', 'Abe', 'Arnold'... something with an 'A'). The misses apparently don't make it. It's called 'cold reading' and any palm reader at a carnival is doing the same thing.

Oh, and people are being asked to fill out questionnaires before the show. Doesn't that seem strange?

So, no... he can't. He's good at pretending he can, though. Not that I can prove it or anything.

Anyone can talk to the dead. John Edward has the sixth sense to be able to listen to the people who have passed over. It's not that uncommon and people use him as a way to communicate to their loved ones still here -- why not? The police and the FBI use Psychics to solve unsolved crimes so it's not that difficult to believe that some people are gifted and some aren't.

If the dead could talk to someone, why would they want to talk to Jon Edwards? I mean seriously! I'd find another person to talk to personally. So my answer is...NO!

No. All psychics are trained to handle questions. That's why they never get real specific with there answers. If he really could talk to the dead then why does he have to ask people about the dead relative? The dead person would tell him.

To me, he appears to be little more than a fraud taking advantage of people who are suffering.

I've seen many magicians who do the same thing when they pretend to be psychic as part of their stage act. I don't think they are psychic any more than Jon Edwards can talk to spirits.

If he could really talk to the dead he would ask them all the questions and not their poor grieving family members. LoL did you ever see that Saturday Night Live skit about john Edwards? It was soooooo funny.......let me see his name starts with k or maybe a no? ok d or S still no ok maybe its for the person next to you........What a joke!

p.s. lol 'swamp pit in Flordia' i will give that best answer for sure

edwards is actually bad at what he does. he has been studied and his success rate in guessing what audience members mean in the phrases they call out is less than you'd expect by chance.

p.s. the dead, being dead, don't talk. edwards, being a heartless bastard, manipulates and rips off the bereaved.

Everyone can talk to the dead. Whether or not the dead listen... hmmm... different issue. When the living claim the dead talk to them... oh yes, most definitely, it's a scam or mental illness.

Maybe he can, maybe he is just a big phony (the latter more likey)
but just because you CAN do something , does not mean you SHOULD do it- God said not to talk to , communicate with the dead- Saul paid a hefty penalty for his disobedience. I really thin people ought to at least ty to be more discerning and not mess around with that stuff.

Oh.. YOu have asked a question that I have wanted an answer to for a LONG LONG TIME. I did ask a pastor one time but never did get an answer. In my opinion, absolutely NOT.. But the problem is.. HOW does he get answers to the questions he gets asked? how? Does/did he know the person in the audience and it was rehearsed? I would rather guess.. that that is the crux of the whole matter
