Some dogs just like to bark, and you can't change a thing. However, most dogs(especially pup) bark because they want attention. My guess is, right now, you scold him or pay attention to him when he barks. Try to ignore him when he barks, and pet and praise him when he stops barking. This is going to be hard for the first few days, because he is going to bark at you non-stop. Overtime, he is going to learn barking doesn't get him nowhere, and he will try something else.(like looking at you or wagging his tail)

First, teach your dog that barking is okay until he is told to "Be quiet." Each time your dog barks, command him to "Be quiet." Simultaneously, hold a treat in front of your dog's nose. Most dogs get quiet immediately because they can't sniff and lick the treat while barking at the same time.
Praise your dog continuously during his quiet time with petting and words of encouragement.
After three seconds of no barking, let him have the treat. As you continue with your training, increase the amount of time you require him to be quiet before giving the treat.

dogs are not like kids in that you can click on the tv when you want them to leave you alone. the bark at a threat, when they are hungry, need to go out, and MOSTLY when the are bored! Play with them, give them a long lasting(hours) chew toys or treat. By scolding the dog you are actually promoting them to bark more. When he barks you pay attention to him by tellin him to constantly be quiet.

You have to control it and let it know that you are the Alpha Male. Anytime the dog does something you don't like, you have to physically grab it and let it know you don't like what they're doing. If the dog is smart, it should understand the meaning of your actions.
Some things dogs will bark about regardless (such as other dogs barking.)

a lot of the time that dogs bark, it's for attention. If it barks then don't give it attention for a few minutes, but be sure to give your puppy tons and tons of attention and you should be fine, although there are times it's just useless to try, they're going to bark whether or not you're doing all of this.

As difficult as this is, you've gotta spank your doggie. Or you have to find some other way of severely discouraging it from barking. I realize some dogs can be particularly stubborn when it comes to behaving. However, I have seen even the wildest dogs be tamed by some healthy discipline. Yelling and spanking are no fun, but they work.

I tell mine "NO BARK". Tell I use a spray bottle of water if they back again. After being sprayed a few times, they will look at you to see if you have the bottle in hand. They will start to mind the command.
