What would it take for a christian to recognise a prophet?

Prophets are a real miracle/ phenomenon of history. Christianity as a means of control outlawed ESP and divinely annointed ONLY THEIRS as saints, prophets etc. It all sounds a bit like science versus nature. The balance depends upon who has the most votes, but what if the prophet prophesies against the church how will the christian save himself if he thinks by indoctrination that the gift of prophesy is satanic.

You dont have to worry about prophets anymore casue the bible says John the Baptist was the last one. Also go read on how prophets were chosen. It wasnt like choosing a pope. God picked the prophets and sent 1 or 2 people to deliver the message or God delivered the message himself.

A true prophet can be recognized if: (1) his prophesies come true; (2) his prophesies line up with Scripture; and (3) he is a godly person bearing the fruits of righteousness.

Everybody else is being fooled by Satan.

Check the bible on that one --- God anoints His prophets and sustains them not the local church --- a man anointed by God will stand when the others fall --- a false prophet isn't operating under the leadership of God... so if the spirit of the God isn't upon the prophet then what spirit is?

There are only false prophets in the current age. Therefore everyone who claims to be a prophet of God is a liar and are actually devils and of the false prophet which will require the people to worship the Antichrist.
