Trans fats are notorious for making you fat, but also foods that are more processed are harder for your body to break down and can make you fat. This would include most of what you find in the grocery store, such as products with lots of corn syrup. If you can afford it, try to buy foods with more natural ingredients (ones you can pronounce). They will break down more easily in your body. Also keep oils, sugars, and fatty foods to your recommended amount. You can find your recommended daily intakes on mypyramidtracker.gov
