To "plus": There have been "liberal" issues that I have supported, although I tend to support conservative issues, so I think I can do it without being hypocritical. By the way, what does "plus fute que toe" mean in English?

To Ralph M: I didn't say it would be easy. I just want to try out thinking about issues from their perspective.

To Hugh: As a templib, I won't waste time dumping on Bush. I will examine issues and try to understand them as liberal democrat. I use to be a democrat long ago.

It sounds like a good idea in theory ... try to see where the other side is coming from. Personally, I just don't think I could do it because most of their ideas simply do not make any sense.

Liberals are not ever willing to give on thier views. There is nothing good that the President can ever do in thier opinion. Even if the President came up with a cure for cancer or aids, they would still have something bad to say about him. Our President said a curse word to someone off the record and the Liberal media is making a huge deal about it. Our last President got a BJ and shoved a cigar up a girls*** and it isnt really that big of a deal is it? Where do liberals stand. They cant make up thier damn minds. What is ok and what isnt to them. I hate all Liberals. They suck at life.

No. You have to believe in what you are saying, otherwise its a moot point.

If you believe in what you are saying, does it matter what "side" you are on? You can be a moderate. I don't consider myself a liberal or a conservative, but I do sincerely believe in what I "spout".

"Plus futé que toi" means "smarter than you" in french. I was feeling a little uppity that day. I just haven't gotten around to changing it-I'm really not that egotistical. :-) But now people know me by the name, so I guess I should keep it.

I don't know about the broadening of perspective but it sure will be simple. What do we do about illegal immigration? I don't know but Bush is an idiot. What can we do to protect the U.S. from terrorists? I don't know but Bush is a jerk. What can we do to improve our educational system? I don't know but Bush is a moron. See, it's going to be real easy.
