I am sure most of the soft wares enables you to capture still shots and you can convert to suitable photographic format like jpg. etc and there should be no problem at all. You may try "Blaze Media" available at http://www.mystikmedia.com
good luck

Pause the video clip were you want to take the picture
Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard
Go into a graphic program, such as the free Paint program that comes with Windows (Start > All Programs > Accesories > Paint)
Do a Paste and you should see a picture of your desktop with the video showing
Use the crop tool (the dooted box in the upper right corner of the toolbox) to select what you want for your cover
After selecting, do a copy
Do a File, New to get a blank picture
Do a paster to put your selection into the picture
Use the Text tools to make a fancy heading and all on the picture if you want
Print it out

Your software video player may be capable of taking a snapshot of video during play. I know Power DVD has this function and other players may have also. I have supplied a link to Power DVD in case you want to try it. Good luck!

If you have Windows Movie Maker, you can load the video files into it and print whatever frame you want.
