Ok... I'll admit.. I'm a guy that likes cooking and baking...
My recipe is as follows...
Put 1lb sugar, 2oz butter, 2 teaspoons vinegar, 1/4 pint of water, 6 tablespoons golden syrup into saucepan. You can add more of the syrup if you feel there's not enough.
Heat until sugar dissolves... gently at first... then up the temperature until it reaches 143 Celsius (you'll need a sugar thermometer)
Have the apples ready with the stick in them, give them a quick wipe to clean them, dip them in as it approaches 143 celsius... twirl them around in the syrup for a few seconds, them place on a tray with a baking sheet lining it. And alllow to set.
Then contact me by email to arrange you sending some to me :0)

Melt sugar just by putting it into a pan and taking it to the heat, add some water for it not to burn. Stir it up a bit. Use a stick to hold the apple and let the candy cover it. Then leave it get cold - it just needs the coldness of the environment don't worry about fridge or anything. And that's it!
ENJOY!!!!
