ur taskbar probably is in the "autohide" mode, [which means it reappears whcn u move the mouse down] or u can just press the power button on ur computer and wait till it shuts down like usual
if ur computer is stuck alt + ctrl+ del is the way

Hit ctrl+shift+esc and when the task manager comes up then go to shut down and in the drop down menu select shut down. Leave it off for a couple of minutes and then try again.

When you start your computer, press F8 to start on safe mode then
If you have Windows XP, go to Start ==> Run
Type msconfig
Click on Selective Startup
Uncheck Load Startup Items
Click OK and restart your computer...
After you have restarted your computer.... Download AVG Anti-Virus from http://www.grisoft.com/
They have a free version.
Run the updates and then run a scan...
It should remove it...
After you run AVG then run Windows Defender, just to make sure that you don't have spy-ware that is downloading this trojans..
Once you are done scanning return your settings on the Configuration Utility.
go to Start ==> Run
Type msconfig
Click on Normal Startup

Stop using it for a few seconds so your hard drive isn't writing and cut the power.
Your task bar will return when you power back up.

The better way to follow is ...press (windows key + r) ..it will display run dialog box..type cmd and press enter to open command window.There just type shutdown -h and press enter..it will safely shutdown ur PC.
