My daughter watches a couple of shows on PBS like Clifford and Barney. She also likes Mr. Rogers.
Which do your kids watch?
We don't have cable TV, so there is no other option for my daughter !!

We don't have cable TV either, so we're restricted to PBS. My kids (7 & 3) watch Dragontales, Clifford and Arthur.
Seven year old is also a fan of Cyberchase and Maya&Miguel.
My three year old really likes Caillou - but I can't STAND that show! What parent talks to their child like that, and lets their kids whine at them all day without getting irritated? I usually try to have outings or other activities going during that time slot so we miss it. (awww)

PBS and Nick Jr is big in my house. Elmo reigns supreme for my youngest and my oldest is all about power rangers, spider man, all those superhero shows but he does like PBS and Nick Jr. a LOT too. I love Stanley. Whenever my oldest watches it he comes up to me and starts the greatest conversations. One day he just out of the blue said " Mom do you know what a fish habitat is, I learned about habitats today." (he just turned 5)

I love that my kids enjoy watching all of the educational kid shows on PBS. It just makes it that much easier for me to teach them their alphabet, numbers, colors, etc. PBS Kids also teaches them values and morals. Some of the preschool cartoons like on Nick Jr, Noggin, Playhouse Disney, etc are good, but you have to closely monitor waht shows come on next after those. On Cartoon Network, several cartoons I dont agree with or find inappropriate will come on directly after the preschool shows.

They watch Clifford, Wonder pets, Dora, Diego, Little Einstiens, Doodle Bops, That one with Mother Board. That is just a few of their favs.

For my son Elmo reigns supreme in our house and for my lil girl she seems to like little Einsteins which I find funny because she's 7 months old. But she likes it, I like pbs it has alot of learning for the kids. It's a great channel.

since you dont have cable she pretty limited if you have a dvd player buy her some dvds.My kids watch noggin which has blues clues,dora,oobi and nick jr misses spider and they love backyardigans.I dont let my kids watch telletubbies because they are weird and there really is no educational value as there is with sesame street or the shows on noggin

My daughter is aware of things like Dora the Explorer and Caillou, cause my sitters kids watch them.
