If you can't get over your fear of horses, then you'll never be able to try to become a 6'3" jockey! It doesn't matter how tall or short you are, it is your weight that is more important. You should be under 120 lbs. If you can't reach this weight, you'll never become a jockey, but you could become an exercise rider & that's just about the same thing with a little less prestige & a lot less stress! Many exercise riders are 120 lbs & up & some are over 6 ft tall!

You may try handling standardbred running horses. You are not too tall to be a driver. You can learn to overcome your fear of horses while you work and groom them. If you are serious and can start for little money there is a place for you in harness racing. Check with your state racing association. They'll be happy to get you started.

However, if - by any chance you are serious - you can always visit a third-world country and find a willing surgeon who will shorten you. May I suggest around 5 feet?
