Since 2002 bob and I have been dating on and off, once for a month then about a year later for a year and five months, that ended becuase things started to fall apart, I liked another guy and bob wouldn't fight for me, so he let me leave, even then I told him I still loved him, I showered him in love and all he did was spread rumors about me and the guy I liked, whom I never dated. About 6 months after breaking up, bob and I got back together, for 9 months until June18. He says he left me becuase of my ex (who still had feelings 4 me) who was in the band we were both in, but I know it's deeper than that. Whenever I ask him a question about why he left me, he says i don't know or lies. He was lying for 3 weeks telling all my friends he didn't love me, and then finally admited to my friend his feelings after flirting with me at a show. It doesn't seem to make sense and he says he can't handle a long term relationship right now. What do I do? He used to say I was his everything. Help me!

Confront him and find out the truth. If he truly cares and wants to be with you, he should let you know and then go on from there. Forget what others say because you don't know the full story behind that yet, did Bob really tell lies or did someone make those up or was it a communication issue? If he doesn't care about you, then break up cleanly and move on to someone else so you don't keep getting hurt.

Forget both of you if you are like this now then long term in a no hoper. If this Bob can spread lies about you then what is to stop him again. This story is just a bit pathetic. Move on stop wasting your time and get a real love life for goodness sake something worthy of writing about. You and this Bob sound like a couple of sad cases.

This Bob guy seems like a shady character. Why would you want to with someone who talks about you behind your back and lies? Even if you love him, you need to realize he's probably not a good enough guy for you.
