It depends on what kind of lenses you have. There are disposables now that are FDA approved to stay in at night, and there are lenses that are okay "off label" to leave in at night.

But you should really give your eyes a break. They're hte only ones you have. Leaving lenses in for extended periods of time deprive your eyes of oxygen.

You shouldn't sleep with normal contacts in your eyes because it deprives your eyes of oxygen. However, they do have special contacts that are made to increase the amount of oxygen flow. Just talk to your eye doctor and he/she should be able to give you some.

And if you do sleep in contacts, make sure you use eye drops as soon as you wake up so that the dryness doesn't cause the contacts to injure your eyes.

If they are the ones that are overnight. the reason they are called overnight lens is because they allow more oxygen to get into your eye.

If you have the daily wear. You Could sleep in them but when you wake up your contacts will be very dry and cloudy. That you are going to have to take them out anyway to refresh them soo what is the point?

what kind are they... it depends are they the kind you can sleep in... i had this problem i would always fall asleep with them in.. the answer is no unless you have the ones you sleep in... your eyes don't get enough oxygen when you sleep so this means they can get really dry, and you have a better chance to get an eye infection... call the eye doc and get a prescription to get contacts you can sleep in.

You can do it, but the consequences of doing it are...
Corneal ulcers, Corneal abrasions, Loss of sight due to abrasions, etc... the convienience of wearing your lenses over night are not worth the risk. Take them out if at all possible.

Yes, but you shouldn't make a habit of it. The contacts won't last as long, and more importantly, your eyes need oxygen.

No you wont get lazy eye. yet what can take place is which you would be able to get a severe eye an infection that ought to reason BLINDNESS via no longer cleansing your contacts on a daily basis and taking them out. once you place on contacts your eyes are uncovered to much less oxygen. a lot of human beings i understand circulate to sleep via twist of fate with the contacts on. with the intention to ward off that i might continuously take my contacts out as quickly as I have been given abode and positioned on glasses around the abode. reason who cares if your loved ones sees you in glasses. And that way if I dosed off it didnt count number via fact i became into donning glasses and not contacts. So initiate taking them out once you get abode from college or artwork or from being out that evening. And once you arent going someplace positioned on your glasses. that's greater effective to your eyes to positioned on glasses rather than contacts. So I strictly wore contacts to workout/play activities and as quickly as I went out and cared approximately my visual allure. yet while i became into abode, with family participants, or with acquaintances or a BF that knew me for a protracted time identity basically positioned on glasses even out to dinner or the action pictures. purchase glasses that have a clean glass seem (you may pay a sprint better for that function). clean the contacts each evening as directed on the bottle of your cleansing components.
