We are now seeing the continents to shift again, so this is not hard to believe. The Bible says that God brought the animals to Noan in the ark. He made birds to migrate thousands of miles.
All Noah had to do was get out of the way. There may have been a good reason he divided the continents. Possibily to keep people apart and stop the fights. He confused their language to do that.
