I believe she is right.
The word Clearly states Christian are chosen by God given to the Son and sealed by His Spirit until the day of redemption. You cannot go back to a sinful life and stay there if you have the Spirit of God. Who is able to pluck us out of the Fathers hand. I am sorry to say but in the last day we will see who is and isn't. Christ even says it about the people who will cry LORD did we not cast out demons heal the sick..... He say i never knew you... If you have not been given to Christ then you are not His.
Judas Iscariot was not chosen Jesus said so in His prayer to the Father whom He was dying for for those whom God Chose for Him John 17:12. Paul states this in Romans 9 some are made for honor some dishonor all for God to show His glory through.
We are to preach to all the world for God to have his chosen called out.
. We need to study the Word for what it says not what we want it to say. John 3:16 is always brought up God in all His justice wants all to be saved. So he gives an opportunity But the word say without the prompting of the Holy Spirit no man would come to God. He has an open door policy but He knew no one can come to Him in our degenerate state. If we could Christ would not have had to die.
There is a lot more to this but no time to write it all out
e-mail me if you really want to discuss this, I am open.

I do not believe once saved always saved. Why would Paul "die daily" or repent every day for new sins that he committed if that was true. It would not have been necessary. I also don't believe that they were never ready to meet the Lord. I think good people fall prey to the devil for whatever reason. I know that sometimes when things are on an even keel and nothing is wrong that I sometimes don't keep Him in the forefront of my mind. I sincerely love God. It is not an instantaneous thing where suddenly we are all good. Even on days when I think I am doing well sometimes I do something not quite right. I may think or say something I shouldn't. I am just thankful that He deals with us over those things and allows us a space for repentance. If I were not to repent then I would be in danger of Hell all over again. We can walk away from God sometimes without even realizing it. It's the little foxes that spoil the vine. A well meaning person may find themselves right back out into the world by letting a little thing here (like being judgmental) or a little thing there (like being jealous) pile up until you are in the same place where you started. I am so thankful that His grace is sufficient and He will bring us back to Him if we want to come back.

I believe God's Word makes it clear that Salvation is His decision alone; if human beings could do anything at all to negate God's undeserved grace toward us, then we make Him a liar, because He said "I do not give as the world gives." In other words, He never takes His gifts back.
I disagree that ALL people who "walk in sin" after a salvation experience are unsaved. It's important to remember that, even after we are saved, we ALL continue to be sinners, as explained below:
1 John 1:8 "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us."
Having said that, I do believe there are many "Christians" who think they are Born Again (saved), but are not. Jesus clearly taught this in the Parable of the Sower (Matthew 13 and Mark 4).
The important point is, NONE of us has the right to judge a brother or sister by saying he or she is unsaved. That's God's territory alone! God expects us to sin, even after salvation. To God, the sin of murder is the same as the sin of lying; there are no "better" or "worse" sins in His eyes. That's why He gave us the promise He did in 1 John 1:9.
The story about the penny is nice, but it is unscriptural. We only walk hand in hand with Him once we become disciples; sadly, not all saved Christians are disciples.
Just my two ... uh ... cents.

It is a modern thing to go about telling everyone you are saved already.
It used to be in the Christian Church that it was considered presumptuous and arrogant.
Fundamentalist churches mixed a Calvinist belief in predestination with Paul's wording of "elect" and "chosen" and Wallah!
People go around saying that they are already saved even though they are still here in this world and clearly not sorted out into hell of heaven yet.

I think and believe you will know a tree by its fruit. Gal. 5:19-26
However, I think looking at the entire passage is a more realistic view.
Galatians 5
Freedom in Christ
1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. 4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. 5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. 9 "A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough." 10 I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be. 11 Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished. 12 As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!
13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
Life by the Spirit
16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
We either choose to walk with Christ or we choose to walk in the world. We can not have two masters; we must choose JC or the world (sin).
I choose Jesus Christ and I listen to the Voice of Truth! He has ROCKED my world!!! I can't imagine life without him...nor would I want too.
((Remember our walk of faith will speak volumes over our words)).
Grace to you and God Bless!

Interesting. But I would just give you the example of Judas Iscariot who was the disciple that betrayed Jesus then later commited suicide. Do you think he was later "saved"? Matthew 27:3 says that Judas knew he was condemned.
