I have used several brands and it all depends on how talented you are, i think. if you can get someone to help you (especially in the back) that would really make them look good. if you hair is already dyed, the new one from garnier called color breaks is super easy, and came out good. the loreal color experte, with the color and highlight is awesome if you want a natural look, and you can't go more than 2 shades lighter or darker cause it comes out bad. the feria color strands is pretty good, especially if you have thick hair. the applicator is a big diamond comb thing, makes big chunks. i haven't tried the Revlon custom effects, but it the colors it comes in are awesome. they have highlights and low lights. if you have darker hair and want to just bleach it, there are a lot of kits, but they usually don't give good results. for that i would recommend going to a salon. I hope i helped!

I used a sort of a on an identical time as in the past. I certainly have dark hair and tried to place blonde highlights in it. It became right into a disaster. I couldnt do the back of my head top and ended up with ginger patches throughout my head via fact my hair became into too dark to circulate blonde with out being bleached first. I certainly have considering had highlights on the hairdresser and that they make a miles greater effective activity.

Loreal makes one, it comes with a wand that looks like a giant mascara "spoolie". So you paint on the strands yourself, WITHOUT the stupid plastic hood that makes it look fake (and takes forever)

You mix a powder and a creme together and it turns a tint so you can see where it has been applied. Plus you don't need foils, it doesn't affect the hair it is touching but not applied to.

I have Carmel blond hair, and used the light kit and really liked the way it looked. My hair dresser asked where I had them done. (Kind of jealously...I think she thought I was seeing another hair girl, until I told her I did them myself)

Good Luck!

Yes, they work very well. I have used Herbal Essences by Clairol several times & have always been thrilled w/the outcome.
