I live just outside Leeds city centre, there are many different residential areas. In the streets where i have seen the dead birds there are children playing.
I have seen 3 pigeons and only today i saw what looked like a sparrow.

Don't panic and don't believe all the rubbish the media try to tell you. Whilst you are concentrating on bird-flue coming to the UK the government can plot and deceive it's people behind their backs. That's what politicians do. The only thing that is probably wrong with the poor birds you have witnessed is more than likely dehydration, try putting a large shallow bowl of water out daily, tell your friends and neighbours to do the same, and your sightings of dead birds, especially in this heatwave we are having will cease.

I would. Just before Christmas last year in Ireland, there was a load of talk about Bird Flu.... nearer Christmas it all went quiet. Everyone bought their turkey and had a good Christmas.

Then suddenly Bird Flu was back in the news. Laugh. I still think it makes sense to report it. I would tell Defra or the vets - but one of the answers made sense regarding puting some water out incase the poor things are becoming dehydrated.

Report this to the Veterinary Laboratories Agency. They test them.
