If a sunni muslim prepares himself for martyrdom and then blows himself up in a market, killing innocent shia muslims, women and children in the name of allah, will they all go to the heaven together? I mean, believers go to heaven, correct? and so do martyrs for islamic causes?

Believers go to heaven, sure, but not everyone who calls themselves Muslims are believers. Believers don't go to heaven indiscriminately - If a believer's sins are greater than his good deeds, he goes to hell first. After he has been punished for those sins, he goes to heaven.
May I also remind you that one does not have to be a Musllim, per se, to be a believer:

"verily, those who have attained to faith [in this divine writ], as well as those who follow the Jewish faith, and the Christians, and the sabians [49] -all who believe in God and the Last Day and do righteous deeds-shall have their reward with their Sustainer; and no fear need they have, and neither shall they grieve."
Quran - 2:62

Also, killing innocents along the way does not make a man a martyr - it makes him a killer of all humanity:

"...if anyone slays a human being-unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth-it shall be as though he had slain all mankind; whereas, if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind."
Quran - 5:32

If any person is killing innocent people ... be it shia, sunni, cristian, hindu or anyone else .. hes not going to heaven ... Allah has taught us to be kind to others and anyone who hurts His creations is a sinner .. and sinners dont go to heaven...

The people who do such things thinking they are doing it for islamic causes have a twisted concept of Islam and its teachings ...

Islam is a peaceful religion ... its just a few people who have given it a bad name by doing horendous things like killing innocent people...

Hope this answers your question..
=)

Sunnis and Shias are killing each other to for the love of their sects. This is not allowed in Islam. Sunnis and Shias both are wrong. If you are interested will post the detailed answer on my blog to prove it from the Qur'an what I have said.

Hey,

Interesting question. I doubt the sunni muslim would go to heaven if he killed a fellow muslim.

"anyone who kills any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he killed all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people..." (5:32)

Also

"If a believer was to kill another believer (unless by trail, e.g murderer=electric chair) he would reside in hell FOREVER."

"FOREVER" is rarely mentioned and reserved fo only the worst of crimes.

Now about the shiite muslims, they would go to heaven or hell based on their actions on this earth. You cant just say "I believe" and excpect to go to heaven :D!

"Do they (the arabs) think that they can say 'I believe' and not be tested?" (I cant remember the surah)

and since the shittes really didnt die for the cause of islam (although that is for god to decide) you cant really say theyre martyrs.

Hope that helps :)

Cheers

I could never understand this. How can they claim to be men of God but kill each other every day?
If Osama Bin laden is the big holy man he claims to be, why did he sanction the radical Jordanian Zarqawi as head of al queda in iraq when he knew he was killing innocent iraqis (Shiites).
Does this mean bin laden sanctions killing muslims?
No answers, just more questions.
If there is an answer it is that these phonies will some how twist the interpretation of the koran to justify their butchery.

You may become believers but that not what Islam teaches us, killing innocent people are wrong and the God will judge you or them in the Judgment day, so they will go to heaven or not they must pass through the judgment.
