I have to share this with you, it's SO funny! Check out the answer to my question below from cg198421
she writes 'what are you 12?', yet her last question posted was 'i'm blond and thinking of dying my hair a darker colour, do you thhink it's a good idea?" LOL!!
I think she gives you blond ladies a bad name!
Thanks for all of the more serious answers though.

Although blond hair is genetically inhereted, it cannot continue with out estrogen levels higher than average of other women. This higher level of estrogen causes the buxom, hippy features most blonds tend to have. Estrogen is also a natural anti-depressant, so they are cheerful people. And estrogen enables emotional thinking and inhibits rational thinking, thus the "dumb blonde" stereotype. Also it tends to make them hornier than average. Thus the "blonds have more fun" stereotype does have some truth to it.

However, with age, and especially children, the estrogen levels in a woman's body subside. The hair darkens, there are few natural blonds past 30. With menopause, it lowers even more.

This is not to say brunettes and redheads can't be fun, but blonds are chemicall predisposed. There is probably some genetic predisposition that men find blonds pleasing, reinforced by their experience with peers when young.

With regard to dyed blondes, the color gets you noticed and gets your foot in the door, if you're out for fun and not interested in getting attached. But its not going to help in a long term relationship where your thoughts, feelings, and life goals start to make a difference.

With regard to other hair colors, they can be even more stunning than any blonde. They don't carry the "dumb" stereotype.

As for any woman I know, I enjoy it when she will change her hair color. It's generally a sign of confidence and being open to changing her self.

Oh yeah, I bleach for exactly this reason.

Okay blokes treat you like an idiot sometimes which is cool because I know I'm far from an idiot. It's weird, guys seem to feel slightly less threatened intellectually around a blond and they have been know to treat us like sex objects- which is all good :-)

Why women get all shirty about this issue god knows? Some women talk about 'respect' but i respect myself, have full confidence in myself, what others think about me really doesn't affect this even if it's the guy I'm shagging.

I'm not on a mission to make the whole world like/respect/love me so I feel completely justified in going blond just for the fun of it.

It really depends whether you are more attractive as a blonde. I am brunette and went blonde for 4 years. I still got male attention and called blondie a lot but wow the difference when I went back dark a few months ago. Now I am fending them off. Also my green eyes seem to stand out more and have more sparkle when i'm brunette....and my hair is much better condition...so glossy now.

Of course blonde's have more fun, blonde's have no problems mixing with ppl, having the time of their lives every day and if you make a mistake you just need to laugh, smile and shake your head as you say "well I am a true blond you know" and you can be forgiven anything. Margaret
