Americans are spoiled. Someone once said that when visiting America they have never seen so many stores selling so much stuff that no one needs. We have no idea how good we have it, it is funny that in my lifetime we likely won't be as great a nation as we are today. That will be interesting seeing all these spoiled people have bigger problems in their lives other than making their boobs bigger or owning designer clothes.

Even when being rescued (from the Germans) The French keep being arrogant.
No sooner was their whole country saved by the Americans they started moaning about haveing to take a bath and brush their teeth. "We need more money..." It never ends with them....
Is it any wonder why people hate the french?

America is mostly a country of the unbelievably stupid, naive and ignorant.
However, it has become rich and powerful because of a land rich in natural resources (taken with much bloodshed from the natives) and because of a small minority of brilliant scientists and intellectuals who are held in contempt by the majority who take advantage of their achievements.
America has been so provably wrong on so many issues it is absurd and they are too stupid to see it.
1. They now talk about solving the problems of the Middle East after voting in a president who initially said the rest of the world didn't matter to Americans (and wanted to pull out of the Palestinian/Israeli peace process- the Palestinian situation being a prime recruiting sergeant for terrorists)
2. They ignored the rest of the world who warned that they should take stock and plan before invading Iraq (and many of these supported eventual military action.
3. They said they don't believe in Global Warming (the fact that they would ignore their own Academy of Science shows how anti-intellectual they are).
Of course many want to become American-its like the kid at school who toadies to the school bully hoping for protection

First of all, I would like to say that you have the ungrateful Liberals to thank for this. If they are going to complain, why are they leaving in the first place. Obviously, Lebanon is a superior state. Second, I cannot believe what hateful things some of you are saying. America is the greatest country in the world for a reason. It has strong willed, hard-working citizens who establish the foundation of the country. Obviously the majority of those abroad in Lebanon were not of this bunch.

I love the United States of America, greatest nation on the face of the earth.
If you so hate the US, why do you bother being on a board supporting a US company?

Hmmmm the people you are complaining about are almost exclusively Lebanese Americans. Sooooo, are you suggesting that when they became American citizens they instantly became more arrogant? You want to see arrogance, look at the French.

Unfortunately, it is the "victicrat" mentality that makes some feel that the US govt owes them something and they don't have to take personal responsibility for anything... Many Americans are more gracious than you think.

Sometimes I'm grateful for Al Qaeda.
In reply to Offkey, how many civilians have the US killed-far more than died in 9/11.
