Seems like you asked the wrong question this time.By the way we have spoken over the net a time or two and based on the 360 info you list you where a REMF. My draft number was 14 and wasn't as lucky as you seem to think bring a REMF was.You also call your Honorable Discharge a peice of crap. Too bad you didn't get caught doing some of the **** the REMFs were known for...like selling US materials to the ememy, yapping your mouth about troop movements to your viet cong drinking buddies and hording all of the good food for the REMF cowards (and no,not every one in a support position was a theiving whore, but your questions and answers sure appear to place you in that group of REMF). That way you could enjoy the opportunities that a DisHonorable Discharge would provide.
And as for you Susie Y, try to remember that the 1st amendment guarantees freedom speech even for those living here under its protection. By the way how do you know the number of times this guy was reorted, I thought yhat was confidential?
And erudite, I am begining to wonder if you really ever did serve n the military. You claim you didn't receive even one medal and would have thrown them away if you had ever earned one. That's very odd because EVERYONE who served there for even just a single day was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal. So which is it, are you lying about having served so you can make efforts at degrading those of us who have? Or are you lying about never reveciving any medal(s)? Either way you answer it will prove you are a liar. And besides no one who has ever served calls their record and release from service their "dd214". They call it buy it's correct designation..their DD214. Also, which company, battalion and regiment were you in and who were your commanding officers? Let me and the rest of those who were really in the military know because there are ways of telling if you are telling the truth or just pretenting to have served. And don't give me any of that crap about it being too long ago. It's been over 30 years and I still remenber the names of the officers and men I served with;especally the one's who din't make it home alive. Until you are willing to share that information with us I guess we veterans will just consider you an attention seeking liar unwilling to serve when called upon.
By the way, the only soldiers I ever saw running were the
REMF like you to be 1st in the chow line while I and the other officers I served with waited until our men had their wounds were attended to, they were fed and received their mail. Try being a member of a LREP team. No, wait....all of your crying, bitching and moaning about wanting to be back in the rear with the gear, not being able to slug down some beer (on duty no doubt) and catching the CLAP to prove what a man you were would have gotten us all killed. As my Ranger instructor told me once, if some asshole gives your position away by crying or calling for his mommy make sure the last thing you ever do is pull out you K-BAR (yes, we carried the USMC weapon of choice) and cut that whimppering coward's throat.
You have my contact number so I'll look forward to the information I have requested.
.
You should have studied up some more brfore you tried to BS those of us who truly servered. By the way to answer your question I tried to re-acrivate my commission in the FA and go to IRAQ. However, I missed out on bring able to return to service by a mere 3 years. The 1st Iraq war was too short for me to file the required paper work to join while still eligable. And so I did the next best thing, I went to IRAQ working as a DoD employee on an18 month contract. I am now back in the states attempting to secure an other contract but I have to wait for the start or the next fiscal year. And if you are former military you now that date and the reason I have to wait to return.
By the way, how many people do you know are PRO WAR? That's like saying your anti-clean air or pro water pollution. PRO WAR is simply a great sound bite but is meaningless.

Too bad for me...I aint an American you know...and my country already pulled out of that sand pit...damn
Anyways...it sounds good that people who really support the USA effort in Iraq should prove it by signing up now and serving their nation. That way we can separate true patriots from loudmouths. At last a sensible idea out of you.
My only problem with it is that should that happen the Internet and this Q&A will be then left in the hands of all the pro-Islamist scumbags and ignorants who stay behind.
BTW...there is no such thing as pro-war people (only Islamists and Nazis are like that). Most of the people you are probably addressing are supporters of the military and the uniformed men and women who serve in it proudly and admirably. They are not necessarily with this war but they support the people who fight it

Just as you are allowed to criticize our Gvernment and ***** about how everything is dealt with in America, and still have the right and freedom to live here and not join the military,we also have the same right. We can voice our opinion, support the President, support the war, and still not have to join the Armed Forces. Actually, we should all be thanking our amazing men and women of the US Military. They fight to ensure the rest of us, and future generations, will continue to live in a country as wonderful as America.

Actually as soon as I finish high school I'm joining the Marines, though I'm not pro war I just want to defend this country. You served 6 years in the military. Why all the hate? What happened??

I signed up long before this war, I am still kicking and screaming for deployment orders, and I am not "PRO WAR", I am just PRO defend my country so whiny little pus like you can whine and not worry about being executed. Why don't you go learn how to spell? Oh, wait, that might mean you have to take advantage of benefits that us military types keep available for you. Maybe you should just move to France or something.

I am highly pro-Iraq, and the only reason I don't go is because I believe that my country can use me better in other functions. I would sign up if I thought I could serve my country adequatly in any form of service, but someone of my talents cannot be properly used on the ground in a hostile situation (read: I would suck as a soldier)

Already did....twice.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of men better than himself."
John Stuart Mill

some of us have been and are now back. some of us are awaiting orders. some of us are doing our jobs here preventing idiots from harming American citizens at home... If you are so "Anti War", why don't you go over there and tell the bad guys that what they are doing is wrong as well. I'm sure they would listen to you...

Been there and done it flower child. You want all of America's freedoms and privlages but are unwilling to pay for any of it. You are no Patriot, but a sniveling coward who would bow down to our enemies and be their pawn just to save your life. You are the lowest form of life! Furthermore you spell sigh like this, sign!

I'd love to but I'm too old to enlist. If I was 18 I'd have been there already.
And, by the way, no one is "pro war". this just shows how simplistic your thinking is.
