Well girl, I'm in a similar situation myself, my family doesn't like my ex that I lvoe to death b/c of what has happened between us and maybe I told them a little too much about us for that. But you should so do and be with whoever makes your heart happy. Remember your family is not going to marry him, or live with him, or have sex with him. So do what your heart commands, I promise you you will never loose your family, families are dealt you don't choose them like friends so think about it and have along discussion with the family and see why they really don't like him is it only b/c of the race.

If you are happy, he treats you right, and is a decent human being, then stick with him. Just know that you may loose your family if they continue to remain stubborn. The question is just how stubborn you family is? Do they not like him solely because he is another race or is there something about his character they don’t like? If it is the latter, you need to really examine it to see if they see something that you don’t see. That can happen, you know.
If that is not the case, you can tell them that you are disappointed that they have put you into this position of choosing between this man and your family. Tell them that you love them and don’t want to hurt them, but they are hurting you by being unreasonalbe. Tell them that they raised you to look on the inside of someone and see their character and you wish they would see past his race and realize the good person that he is. Let them know that you don’t want to loose them, but you also really love him.
If you do this, you have to be willing to live with the consequences. You family may decide to cut ties with you, can you handle that? If that happens, will grow resentful of you man. If you choose your family over your man, will you grow to resent your family? You need to be really sure that this man is worth it. Whatever you choose, if you are an adult it is important that you act like one. You need to have a talk with your family about their behavior and take control over your life. Someone will always have something negative to say about whatever you do; you need to find truth and security in your decisions.

and try to think it over and over ,,,if u think that he isn't the type of guys u would marry later then,,,don't waste Ur time with him ,,
go search for another suitable one or at least be single so when the right one meets u he 'll approach to u ..

There is two sides to your situation. May be your family have a legitimate reason for you not to marry him. Have they said any thing other than his race ?
Have your family spoken to him and let their fears be known as to what they think will happen to a union of you two. Your situation have so many possibilities as well as i don't know what race he is.

I think I understand how you feel. You should always respect your family, but in the end, he is the one you have chosen, and I think they should be more understanding about it, and have a open mind. Try to present your boyfriend to your family, maybe they'll change after meeting him. Race has nothing to do with it.

well, convince ur family that not being a part of the same race is really a criteria for not getting married... tel them that u really love him a lot, and so does he..
Try to explain them. I hope it works for u.
Best of luck.

Have you let your family meet him? See what their actual reactions are to who he is and then worry about what to do. They may be resistant, but give them a chance to get to know him. If they still are against him, they need to respect your choice and if they truly love you, they will accept him.
They may also look past his race and then you have nothing to worry about.

There comes a time when you have to choose. If you are certain that they will not adjust to him, move on. Life is too hard w/out your family.

Listen you need to do what you feel is best for you. If you love him then stay with him. He don't deserve to lose you because of your family. Besides if you family don't approve then they will just have to learn to deal with it.

Don't flaunt him unless/until you get married. If you decide to make that leap, then your family will have to accept it and you must ignore and avoid the ones who don't.
