Well some think cause some of us Christians believe this gives us the right to sin and do what we want and we are ok with God still, well they are wrong. If a person claims to be saved and continues to walk in sin, then they are not saved. 1 John is a good book on that. If God is in someone trust me you will know it cause you cant keep him hid. In Ephesians you will see many time the words, "In Christ". Once we become saved we become a new creature, 2 Corinthians 5:17. A preacher once told the congragation to take a penny and place it in the palm of your hand. Now the penny represents the saved person, Now close your fist around the penny. Closing your fist represents you becoming in Christ. Read Ephesians Chapter 1 and 2 for all the times we are IN CHRIST. Now take your other hand that represents God and close it around your fist with the penny in it. John 14:11 says that Jesus is in the Father and the Father in Him. Now seal your both hands together with the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13. Now if we are in Christs hands and Christ is in His Fathers hand, and we are seal with the Holy Spirit how can anyone take us out. John 10:28-29. Some say we can take ourself out. Well if you could then you wasnt saved in first place.

Hey Dear, First of all let us understand the meaning of getting "saved" Saved from Hell fire ........please can u be a little more specific when U say saved always.!!! means ???? Once born again a Person has Holy Sprit in his heart Our Blessed Holy Sprit acts like an umpire to show us where we are going wrong ....sin has to be differentiated....SIN is different and SINS are different.....this does not mean we are permitted to commit sin ....instead we are more accountable NOW after being saved than before being saved ,,,, CoZ after Being born again we know what is RIGHT and what is WRONG before we commited out of Ignorance NOW if we commit sin we would be doing it deliberately for which there will be LOSS of Reward and Blessing ON EARTH (as a consequence of SIN ) and In Heaven abviously

I can't use God's word to back this up, but I'll try anyway. I personally do not believe in "once saved always saved." I cannot wrap my head around the idea that once you are saved you can do anything you want. Under this logic, if Hitler had been saved before the Holocaust, he would be sitting up in heaven right now. I can't fathom that.

No, You can not receive the gift of salvation then continue to live like the rest of the world. Check out the website below. It is very good about explaining this topic even better and it is backed up by many verses of the bible. I hope this helps. God Bless!

In Ephesians 4 it talks about being sealed until the day of redemption, but if you notice, it gives a code of conduct. If your aren't truly renewed in you mind and heart are you truly saved? I wouldn't base my salvation solely on a prayer of repentance that I prayed once and did nothing more to develop a relationship with God.

"And I have the keys of hell and death, signifies that He alone can save. By "keys" is signified the power of opening and shutting; here the power of opening hell, that man may be brought forth, and of shutting, lest, when he is brought forth, he should enter again."

However, I'm sure some people say they are saved when they are still in sin. If you keep examining your intentions and practice this self-examination against the ten commandments, you will have a pretty good idea if you are a angel in training or if you need work.

When you are saved, you become a child of God. If you run away from your family, you may be distant from them, but they are still your family. The only way to sever the bond, if for you to disown them or them disowning you. Since God will never disown you, you would have to disown Him. Blaspheme of the Holy Spirit, if you will.

i cannot. i have heard that once you are saved, you cannot ever sin so badly that you would lose salvation.
that said: i do not personally believe this. i have not seen it in the bible. all of the references to this subject are theories put out by those learned individuals, but there are contradictory teachings on this.
only God and his chosen know for certain.

Mainly it means that if you back slide or sin, all you have to do is repent. True repentance is a change of heart (mind). Christ is able.
But without repentance it is a false statement.

That's a debate that goes around and around in Christian circles and I don't take a stand on it because it doesn't do any good and because it isn't essential to my faith. I will say that there is good evidence to believe that if a person is truly born again and that the Holy Spirit is dwelling in them then they will persevere until the end and be saved. I can show you all of the verses on both sides of the argument, here are a few just to demonstrate what I mean.
Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
The question then revolves around can a person depart from the Lord voluntarily? I follow the lead of my Pastor who tells people that he isn't planning on losing his salvation and then he asks them if they are planning on losing theirs. Then I take heed to my ways according to this passage remembering that while I am not saved by good works that I was created in Christ to do good works that God planned in advance for me to do (Eph 2:8-10)
2 Peter 1:5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. 10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.
