Hey man I say pray and Ask God to help you in this situation. If you have nothing, I understand how you feel. You should get out get a job, and start experiencing the better things in life. You are not getting any younger, so you need to get out there and make things happen. Pray Pray and more prayer will work.

Show your kids that you don't need them. Get a hobby, do some things to make you happy. There is some interesting young lady looking for a good man like you. Go out and find that person.

You'll be okay. Trust me on this. Maybe one day your kids will miss your company and regret ever making you leave, but you'll be on a beach in Hawaii.

Make it happen man!!!!

52 is still young! Just because your children have grown up doesn't mean your life is finished. There is a lot you can do. Do you not work anywhere? Have you thought about community service? There are many NGOs and government organisations where you could do a bit of volunteer work .. may not pay in terms of money, but you will feel better about yourself and keep occupied. What about taking some classes? You obviously know how to use the computer ... you could sign up for something? If you are in India, there's always the IT industry .. call centres, medical transcription, etc. Look out for ads in the Wednesday papers, a lot of these companies offer training followed by jobs.

I didn't quite understand when you said the children "don't want me at home" .. do you mean they actually want you to leave? Are you living in their home? (I.e. are THEY the owners or official tenant .. or are YOU the owner/tenant?) If you are, they have no right to turn you out and you should contact an organisation like Helpage India to put an end to this kind of abuse.)

Are you living off of them? At 52 with an education, you can get a job, you know.

Get out & meet people. Join a club or a group online. I've made alot of friends online. Yahoo has lots of groups to join. Take up a hobby...whatever interests you. Go volunteer at an animal shelter or something along those lines. Help others...it is in helping others that we help ourselves. Good luck & take care.

Take it as it come. I'm older than you,but in a similar stance. My
kids are grown,I'm educated,& my finances aren't great.
But you still have plenty of living to do.This is when life really get
fascinating. This is when you start living for yourself. You're free.
You can learn something new,try new things, change your style.
As far as jobs go... Get new training. It's live or die. choose.

What do you mean they don't want you any more at home? How did they get control of the house? Is it your house or not? Are you trying to live in one of their homes? Get a life. What if you didn't have any kids? If you have to then go build a little hut in the woods and eat rabbits and squirrels. Good luck. ^_^

My mother is that age, and her life is full of surprises. She still works and has a great family, (other than my father)(DIVORCED). She has 4 girls and we love her to death. Hopefully, you are educated and you can find a fullfilling job soon. Later you can comsider getting retired, stay at your home and relax. How much better can it get>!?

Well, if you are educated as you say then get a job, get an apartment and move on with your life.

Even if you aren't educated: get a job and get on with it.
