* How to Remove Dye from Hair *
Oh no! Did a box of haircolor leave you unhappy? Here's a quick way to remove that offending color, as suggested by my hair stylist.
Steps
Purchase some Tide laundry detergent.
Use a small amount of detergent and wash your hair.
Rinse thoroughly
Repeat one time, if necessary
Tips
I had dyed my hair red and it turned pink. An emergency call to my hair stylist, a quick shower and my hair was back to normal.
Tide really is the best detergent for this. My hair stylist is a real pro.
Warnings
Make certain that the Tide does not contain bleach.
This will only work if you wash within 24 hours of the color application.
Things You'll Need
Tide laundry detergent
* Color remover is relatively safe to use. You don't even have to mix the color remover with developer, you can use water. You can buy a single use packet in a beauty supply store for about 2 bucks, then mix it in a bowl with the amount of water specified. You can use developer, but water is always safer for your hair.
You apply the remover with a tinting brush, and leave it on for whatever time you need (the more color you need to drop, the longer). It does NOT return your hair to your absolute natural color. It will strip your hair of all the processed color and leave you with a rather blandish tint. The good thing about color remover is that you can treat your hair soon after.

If you want the best results possible I would suggest going in and leaving it in the hands of the pros! It's a lot cheaper to do your own hair but I honestly feel that when it comes to coloring your hair its best to have it done/repaired by a professional because they know what they are doing and you are almost guaranteed to be happy with the results! Also, if you don't like how you do your own hair you feel guilty and have nobody to blame but yourself! If you go to a stylist and don't like it then you can blame the stylist and still have the comfort of knowing that they did it professionally and all and all it doesn't look bad or unhealthy...it's just not the color you wanted. For your own comfort level and health of your hair go in!

if you wash your hair maybe 4 or 5 times the color starts to come out. I mean over days but you can try it in one day. Then you can put either a medium or dar brown over it. You will probably still see red showing through but if you wanted auburn than thats what it will look like

ok so the color you did recently was too dark? Was it semi perm.?There's a few factors I would need to know, but i would recommend going to a professional!Say you do try to fix it...and it messes up even more your just spending money on stuff thats not doing the job and your salon bill will be even bigger....In my experience its usually better and cheaper in the long run to stick with someone who does that for a living....Hair is important...Good Luck!

I think you could fix it but I really think it's better to go to a salon and get the HAIR CORRECTION TREATMENT...
I think you should have bleached your hair first and put in the color you really wanted..It would have come out as you really wanted...

Well, you could shave it all off and let the regular colored hair grow back. And you could wear a wig during that time too...

You may as well go to a pro to find out what's going on and get it fixed. It'll save you the time of trying to figure it out for yourself.
