This is an answer I got when I asked who would win in a fist fight, Jesus, Mohammed or Moses?

"Definitely not Jesus. He would turn the other cheek.
What a stupid question.Whoever asked this should be hanged."

"Turn the other cheek" is an ancient Jewish cultural nuance that was actually regarded as a very low insult. Turning away from someone who struck you meant that you did not even consider their attack worthy of a response, and was an affront to authority. Christians have warped this into meaning Jesus didn't believe in fighting, but it means nothing of the sort.

Nah, it means your supposed to show them the other cheek so they can slap that one as well. This is probably the best tactic in public person conflict, the aggressor invariably looks like an ogre. Stand up for issues and others though, and for yourself as much as is necessary for the protection of others who count on you. If that isn't enough then realize that God loves you and that gives you basic value, which no other person has the right to take.

They wouldn't fight.

Jesus may be able to simply walk away (after he proved he was right to everyone else with his words) and the other two would stand there "where'de he go?" (he was somehow miraculously good at this). Then Moses would slay Mohammed with his ULTRA-PROPHET INCREDIPOWERS! Because Moses was the ultra-phrophet...Mohammed knew that...

What would anyone gain from beating up a person who does not fight back. In the end, he or she would just feel stupid, and ashamed for doing so. And Jesus would be in pain physically, but not mentally. This is the true message of Jesus and not the one's you get in neo-con churches.

Not a stupid question. I wonder how Mihai feels about thinking about hanging you.

what's the contradiction? Matthew 5:38-40 8 The message of this verses is love, it says if someone slaps you contained in the right, provide your left. it is like what Jesus stated, Love one yet another if absolutely everyone do evil to you, do to him good, it truly is what the right and Left cheek potential. (You qouted) right here tells you if someone does against the law worth of capital punishment. "For if i'm an criminal, or have committed some thing deserving of demise, i do no longer merchandise to demise; yet when there is no longer some thing in this stuff of which those adult males accuse me, no you could still furnish me to them. I attraction to Caesar." Acts 25:11 sure your top if an criminal, and he's putting forward if "i'm" cant you study that? He stated " i'm" if i'm an criminal. So what it tells us? On Matthew 5:38-40 8, Jesus is speaking about the evil human beings to do good to them, yet on "Acts 25:11" who's he pertaining to? no longer to the evil persons yet to himself also applies to Christians. He stated that because as Christians, our eyes are open, all of us understand what's evil in God's sight. it truly is likewise written if we devote sin willfully, we may be able to't get replaced by potential of repentance. So what's the contradiction? those lost souls dont understand what they're doing, they're blind, they dont understand whats behind those evil issues. Thats why Jesus coach us to do good to them, with the intention to tutor them the mild. For if we retaliate, are we distinct than them? i'm hoping you understand what you're saying. I propose you pray first before you study. with out the Holy Spirit's coaching, you received't understand the be conscious, and it truly is purely no longer printed to you except God exhibits it to you. each and every letter and be conscious is significant, study it carefully and via God, you'll comprehend it. bear in mind, theres no contradiction contained in the Bible, if one way or the different you imagine there is, you study it back be conscious by technique of be conscious. and also seek for different verses it is linked to that verse. because you could't use only one verse as against the different. this isn't an uncomplicated e book, it is the understand God.

no. what you got was an answer from one who cannot or would not tolerate what is a silly question anyway.

i would have to say that moses would, as he was conditioned from working so hard and all.

of course, that assumes that we are talking about the the human form of Jesus, without the divinity of Christ.

both mohammed and moses would fall before Christ.

Jesus also said "sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." The world would be a better place if people were practiced at stopping arguments and stopping violence. It is voluntarily making yourself a person that ends the cycle of violence rather than being a catalyst for more violence.

No, when Jesus talked about "turning the other cheek" it was in the context of responding humbly to an insult. Someone slapping you is a personal affront not a violent attack. Jesus didn't say that we shouldn't defend ourselves against attackers.

Luke 22:35 And he said to them, "When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing." 36 He said to them, "But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this Scripture must be fulfilled in me: 'And he was numbered with the transgressors.' For what is written about me has its fulfillment."

He meant that when the man beats the woman she should turn the other "cheek" and give it up. Two cheeks on face. Two cheeks on rear, The ones on the rear are "the other cheek". Has Bri(shi)tney Spears and Christina Uckulera not taught you anything?

Jesus did not mean if someone sticks you with a knife, let him stick you again... He was talking about inconveniences and humiliation... it's a way of winning of the other person.
