Sweet!

It has to be real sugar though (not the artificial sweeteners that rot your brain instead of your teeth)- mixed in before it's cold of course. A pet peeve is when I go into a restaurant and ask for sweet tea and the waitress snaps, "No. There's sugar on the table." As if she's had to say it a thousand times already. Look, it's not my fault I didn't know you didn't have sweet tea, so don't be short with me, or your tips going to be short as well!

Ok, for all of you waitresses who didn't pass kindergarten chemistry: Sugar will NOT dissolve in ice cold water (or tea for that matter)! It merely sinks to the bottom, where, if one is lucky enough to have been given a straw, it can be sucked up and chewed upon like so much sweet sand!

Sorry, didn't mean to rant, it just really irks me- especially when they're rude about it when I haven't done anything but sit down and ask if they had sweet tea! I'm really a nice guy, and not so hard to please. A little courtesy (and sweet tea) is all I ask for when I go out to relax. lol... JEEZ! :)

4 bags in a quart of hot tap water then microwave on high for 6 minutes. Add lemon and sweet and low. Don't forget the ice. Or Long Island Iced Tea is good too.

Tea bags in a glass jar first thing in the morning. Around lunch time I have my tea. Just add ice and a bit of lemon and I am happy.

I love it sun brewed. My cousin taught me how to do it. You take a glass container that can hold a gallon of water. Then take 6 to 7 tea bags and put it in the water. Let it sit in the sun all day and chill overnight. After it is chilled, take the tea bags out and squeeze a fresh lemon in it and it is all done. It not only taste good but it also taste sweet without adding sugar. You can use any type or flavored tea bags you prefer to drink.

I bring my filtered or bottled water to a boil, remove from heat and add my tea bags,I let it set until it is room temp.then pour it into my pitcher add more water add my sugar/splenda to taste. To serve I pour it in tall glasses with a slice of either lemon or lime on the rim of the glass.Very refreshing, being from the southern part of the USA we drink it year round. There is also sun tea but it can form a bacteria if you aren't careful and leave it in the sun too long.
