Dont panic, just go to some ENT specialist to rule out some nasal deformity which you might not see. Such type of deformities need correction and they cant be cured by medicines.
Medicines in such cases give only symptomatic relief.
If u have already visited the specialist and there is no malformation then keep on using those drops, i hope it must be xylometazoline or oxymetazoline which is helpful and there is no addiction to it.
so dont worry.

you can not become addictied to nasal spray because it is simply salt walter... with a little bit of salt. But the salt does dry up your sinus cavity. If the problem persist you should consider going to an ear nose and throat specialist and discuss taking his adnoids out.

It is mostly likely a saline solution that is not addictive... if you are worried about addictive properties of prescribed medications that consult with your pharmacist. If this doctor's recommended course of treatment makes you uncomfortable than get a second opinion... he may need to see an allergist an have his sensitivities checked to see if there are possibly food and environmental factors at play that are causing him to have such severe congestion.

Have you tried a cold mist vaporizer? When my son was a baby, he woke up many mornings with a bloody nose until I got one. The air was very dry and the vapoizer fixed it.

Sudafed makes a thing that you can plug into the wall and supposedly it gets warm and releases vapors into the air. You can try that to see if it helps and also apply vicks vapor rub to his chest at night. I don't like to give my child alot of medicines either. Try those and see how they work They may at least give him a good night's sleep. Good Luck.
