I am giving some consideration, to being able to request assistance from Saints of the Body of Christ. Now I am wandering ,why it is Nessissary to ask absolution from a Priest rather than a Saint. ?

I think you answered you own question. You ask ASSISTANCE from Saints but you ask Priests to ABSOLUTION.

Absolution means that the stains of sin on the individual's soul are obliterated and that all eternal punishment for the sin is taken away. Temporal punishment (on earth or in purgatory) remains though it might be lessened depending on how God wishes to use the temporal punishment to help heal the soul of the individual.

When a Priest absolves you of your sins, he does so "in the person of Christ" according the the norms laid down by the Church. When it comes to a Saint, there are two possibilities:

1.) A Saint that was not a priest on earth. This person, not being a priest, cannot absolve sins.

2.) A Saint that was a priest on earth, is also a priest in heaven. This Saint can absolve sins, but no longer being a part of the Church Militant (the Church on earth), he cannot absolve sins according the the earthly sacrament of Confession.

Catholics never ask absolution from saints, unless you count priests as saints.

The Catholic Church believes that "Only God forgives sin."

When a penitent person asks God for forgiveness, his (or her) sins are immediately forgiven.

Catholics also believe that when someone sins they not only hurt their relationship with God, they also injure the entire church, the body of Christ.

The Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation with a priest ordained in the name Jesus Christ not only reconciles the sinner to God but with the entire church, including you and me.

With love in Christ.
