The spyware isn't a program on my add/remove in the control panel. They have somehow latched on to the memory (Not history or cookies) in my computer. Whe I try to serach for any of the keywords in the search bar on the internet the internet crashes. I am using AdAware and Spy Sweeper and I just downloaded and addition pop up blocker - still to no avail....

Yourseverlasting: this sounded like the best chance to remove the software but when I pulled up my task manager it was just the little box that shows the green area with the moving bars to show the CPU Usage, no other tabs, not other options - I know it's not supposed to looklike that and I should be able to manipulate the programs that are running and I can't even close it without rebooting - even with the reboot - still nothing...

Try this, its just simple
I assume u operating OS the xp / any other MicrOSoft os.
1. press ctr + Alt + Del
2. Pops is the task manager
3. On the processes tab check for the process initiated by your spy ware / ad ware (normally they are the .exe files or dll's) and quite visible on that.
4. Right click on the particular spy ware/adware exe. click for the process tree end option. It will take time to end that process, don't worry be cool it will surely die.
5. Now type on run (start -> run ) msconfig. again a program pops up.
6. in this system configuration utility check for tab startup
7. Disable the particular spyware/adware program. Click apply and ok.
8. If you want to delete the spyware/adware exe's too then i recommend land up to command prompt by typing cmd on start -> run
9 (i assume spyware/adware file name as fedupwithu.exe) then type "del c:\fedupwi*.exe /s" (/s for in all subdirectories). This terminates the stupid
10 Extremes quite possible this spyware/adware may be hidden so type now attrib -h -r -s c:\fedupwi*.exe /s
followed by "del c:\fedupwi*.exe /s"
11 Restart your system. Keep cool all those jokers are over now. But do remember is they appear at your task bar ensure you first disable them by options available thru right click on them before you initiate step 1- 11.

Best of Luck.

Here’s a list of things that you can do to remove the adware/spyware:

1) Firstly you need to reset browser settings.
2) Disable all extensions that might cause a problem
3) Install Malwarebytes and run some scans.
4) Uninstall any phishy downloads from your computer.
5) Scan your computer for malware.

First, make sure you have used both Lavasoft AdAware and Spybot - Search & Destroy (just google for them). Both are free and easy to use. Then, if you are still having problems, get a little program called "Hijack This" and run it. It is not easy to use, but you can find lots of forums on other web sites that will help you filter through the information it gives you and get rid of your spyware/adware problems. Best of luck.

Do a web search for 'Ad-Aware' and 'Spybot Search and Destroy' both free programs that work very well. Also be sure to keep your your computer set to receive automatic updates, and while you are on the windows site you can download 'Windows Defender' another free program that will provide you another layer of defense on the web.I use all 3 of these programs and along with up to date anti virus have never had a computer problem.Happy surfing.

Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 when your computer first turns on and try removing them in safe mode. Best guess.

Those programs in question are probably running some process that can't be terminated while the system is running. If you try safe mode, they won't be loaded and the chances of getting them removed safely are much higher.

I don't know what software you are using for spyware removal. I would strongly recommend you Ad-aware. Besides, in their website they have a lot of information about how to remove these pests. As far as I know, ad-aware is capable of removing these spyware bugs withouth crashing your windows.

If everything fails, try reformatting your hard drive.
