indeed, the good old sandwich discussion.
Twas in 1954 when sir Thomas Melbourne delcared that it was national eat a sandwich day. The nation was divided because the rouge ferals who resused to eat the yeasty delicassy (as it was known in that particular country)had brainwashed half its bread eating citizens. For a short period (36 hours) bread was outlawed.
then in october that year a law was passed to shoot all who tried to stop the sandwich from being enjoyed. Although these claims were denied by the government ( www.breadconspiricies.com ) and are still been seen to in court.
Though it is now legal, some confute the ideas that eating bread is good for you.
So i hope you enjoyed your sandwich, brave men and women made many sacrafices so people like you and me could enjoy sandwiches.
I dont see pies or sausage rolls causing such a commotion, do you.

Poor you. cant you cook a proper food? Sandwich??? and you also want to discuss this openly??? No wonder 90% of AMERICA is living in obesity. I went there last year with my kids and people were rolling on the pavements instead of walking. They all had in their hand the biggest massivest sandwich you can imagine. If this doesnt stop you thinking about healthy eating I dont know what does.

You are sooooo right. You can't beat a lovely sandwich. Like you, I favour many flavours - mayo on one side, butter and Heinz salad cream on the other, thick hand carved ham, cheddar cheese, lettuce and a sprinkling of salted peanuts. Or, fish fingers, lettuce, mayonnaise, butter, tomato ketchup. Perfect.

Mmmm theres nothing better than a good sandwich. I love sandwiches so much that whilst I was in labour (and under the influence of numerous narcotics) I actually said that I wanted to make a sandwich.....its true! I wasnt aware of saying it but several people told me afterwards!

Yes, I agree. It can be great comfort and make for good conversation. I love to cook. I use to work at Pizza Hut. It is a really great feeling to make some ones day just by serving them just the way they like. Knowing they came there to eat what I fixed for them was rewarding. My favorite sandwich is a Rueban.

Martha Stewart's pressed sandwich is the best. You put a lot of great stuff in, then tie it up and let it sit under bricks over night!

Yes, they are a truly marvellous and versatile foodstuff. They can be dull - such as cheese on brown at work. Yawn.
Or.
They can be food of the gods - bacon on white with ketchup. Faaaaabulous.
