People are so racist. It is so sad how ignorant everyone is.
Not just Indian's have arranged marriages. Many people in Europe have them as well. As well as Africa.
I know a few people who have had arranged marriages and they are very happy. I would imagine that it would be a very interesting experience that would take lots of learning and time. But if arranged marriages is what my family did and I didn't have a choice I would cross my fingers and hope that I get some one nice, sweet and good looking. :)

I don't but I know someone who's marriage was arranged and they are really happy now and have a son of 2 years.. I don't understand these ppl who still think that such a thing is normal nowadays

I don't believe in arranged marriages and think it's cruel to decide who should marry whom. Apart from that I find that men whose marriages were arranged are very often unfaithful to their wives.

no way, only rupee-ruppe indians do that.
If the children arrange it, its ok, then let the parents chose from the ones the children chose.
but not when the father tells you this is who you are going to marry.

Absolutely not. Marriage has to be about love. Any other reasons to get married is an aberration.

nope...everyone should be able to choose who they want to marry and that should mean that they should marry the person they love and the one that loves them.
