I like to take your basic chocolate chip cookie recipe and add a little extra brown sugar, to make them a little softer, then add cocconut, milk and semi sweet chocolate chips, and some nuts, either pecans, macadamia, or almonds.

This is my favorite cookie recipe to eat. It's not a pretty cookie, but I love the mixture of tastes and textures. Be sure to use the mini chips, that way you get a burst of chocolate in every bite: Dishpan Cookies 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed 2 cups sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 cups butter, softened 4 eggs 4 cups all purpose white flour 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 ½ cups oatmeal 4 cups corn flakes 1 package mini chocolate chips Cream butter, add sugars and mix well. Add eggs and incorporate with vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt. Last, add oatmeal, cornflakes and chocolate chips. If you like nuts in your cookies, 1 1/2 cups of chopped nuts can also be added at this point. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees. Allow cookies to cool 1 minute on cookie sheet before transferring to cooling rack. This is my favorite cookie recipe to bake and give as presents during the holidays: Cake Mix Cookies 1 box cake mix, any flavor ⅓ cup vegetable oil 2 eggs Mix all ingredients well. Add any type of chips or nuts that you prefer. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Some good combinations: Chocolate cake mix with chocolate chips and chopped nuts Chocolate cake mix with white chocolate chips and nuts Chocolate cake mix with peanut butter chips and chopped peanuts Vanilla cake mix with chocolate chips and chopped nuts Vanilla cake mix with white chocolate chips and chopped macadamia nuts Spice cake mix with finely chopped apples Strawberry cake mix with white chocolate chips (this was an experiment that turned out to be everybody's favorite) Use your imagination -- the possibilities are endless ... and they turn out like designer cookies, which they basically are.
