Why not? He seems to be functioning better than most "normal" people and better than most schizophrenics. He has a job, supportive family, seems stable, and from the sounds of it, a loving relationship. Just because someone is schizophrenic, that does not mean they should be denied basic happiness. If anything, I would think it would be beneficial. There would be another person, his wife, to support him and make sure he stays on his meds.

nicely as long as he's on drugs I see no complications , yet I also imagine in a case like this there must be someone interior the kinfolk nicely depended on to have the capacity to signal information, and have the capacity to do some thing criminal if he might want to fail takeing drugs or have a breakdown of a few style. i comprehend that is ya'lls perception ,yet I disagree with the marraiges might want to be prepared. i think sorry for who ever must be compelled into marraige and under no circumstances for romance .only because some guy needs a better half, i imagine that is arbitrary to the girl , and picture if a guy can no longer discover his own spouse for romance then he might want to no longer be married in any respect.

If he takes his medication there should be no reason not to - obviously he has a good support system - and by the time his parents are no longer around science will have found a cure for it.

if he is loving and considerate that is the main question - also how sever is his schizophrenia? how many times has he had relapse? Has he ever been non compliant with his meds?

Sure why not... if he does take his medication it's fine. My brother-in-law has schizophrenia and he takes his medicine. The only problem that I see is that schizophrenia is hereditary especially in boys, which is a concern my brother-in-law had when he and my sister had my nephew, the only thing is that schizophrenia doesn't show signs until boys reach adolescence, so it is a risk that he would have to consider.

sure it is he may ahve a mental defect but hes still the same as you and i and he has feelings too and needs and desires that need to be filled. as far as the financial end of things if something should happen to his father and he is unable to take over the business then you can do it for him or help him find someone to do it for him. just because someone is mentally impaired doesnt mean they cant get married. i wish you all the best of luck

Everyone deserves to be happy. Regardless of their problems. His finace' should be aware of his problems and should help to be sure he takes his meds on a regular basis. I do this for my husband and he does this for me.

If children are considered they would need counseling to see if the problem is or could be heriditary.

I see no problem with it.

I think it is alright. Once a person like that is medicated they should be able to live a full and happy life.

If his medicines are working I don't see why he shouldn't get married. He should do what makes him happy.

if he gets married he may lose some benefits....like if he is on his father's social security versus on social security for his own past work record.....

have him check into how it will effect his social security benefits....

otherwise....of course if he is happily in love he should get married...... it won't be easy but then marriage never is...
